Prom was amazing last weekend. Everyone was dressed so glamorously and girls’ hair was perfectly curled so it would last the whole night. I was inspired to do this blog on the current nail trends because of all the girls who went to get their nails done for prom. There are usually only a feew different styles we instantly think of when it comes to nails: french tip, monochromatic, or crackle, but there are so many more things you can do. There’s the reverse french tip, fading colors, watercolors, etc. If you want new nail ideas to impress your friends or even if you’re just feeling a little daring, then look at these cute designs.

Polka dotted nails are a good way to incorporate the 1950s trend in a small dose. If you don’t want to buy a loud polka dotted dress or skirt because it’s too busy, you can put it in a small spot like you shoes, purse, or nails. This adds a pop of pattern to any boring outfit. You can do the polka dots with the nail pen so you don’t have to make an unnecessary and overpriced trip to the nail salon.
Side Note: Always remember that with any of these nail styles, to apply two base coats and a clear shine nail polish on top to make the color last.
